Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for parks, recreation facilities, aquatics, fitness, tennis/pickleball, beaches, and youth/senior programs
• Plan, implement, and evaluate recreation programs based on community needs and participation data
• Oversee parks maintenance to ensure safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, revenues, expenses, and capital needs
• Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate staff; lead recruitment and performance management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Serve as the primary liaison to executive leadership, Board, and community stakeholders
• Deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate across departments

Compensation: $4,261 - $5,966/bi-weekly salary, DOE/DOQ ($110,781 - $155,106 annual). Listed Min. – Max.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5 years of parks and recreation experience, including 2+ years in a management role
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and operational planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Valid Driver’s License
• CPR/AED & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Successful completion of State of Nevada/Federal background check
