Columbia Parks and Recreation (Columbia, Missouri) is seeking the next Parks Development Superintendent. This highly skilled position plays a pivotal role on the Park Services leadership team, and is responsible for managing all aspects of park development. Columbia Parks and Recreation is a thriving and forward thinking agency with numerous capital and improvement projects underway. The Park Development Superintendent leads a team of professional park planners, construction staff and natural resource stewards to successfully implement department strategic goals and meet the high expectations Columbia residents have come to expect from our versatile department. Strong leadership, budget management, construction project management and communication skills are essential for collaboration with staff, community partners and stakeholders. Requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with varying evenings and weekends.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Landscape Architecture, Parks and Recreation Administration or related field.
5-7 years experience in parks planning, development and construction.
