The City and Borough of Juneau is hiring a Parks & Recreation (P&R) Director to lead one of the City and Borough of Juneau's (CBJ) largest departments, with responsibilities over areawide recreation, youth services, aquatics, the ice rink, field house, public facilities and parks maintenance, downtown parking management, and the development of new parks, recreational opportunities, and long-term community planning.
Desirable Qualifications A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in parks management, recreation administration or a closelyrelated field; AND Five years (5) years of experience in the administration of parks and/or recreation programs. At least three years of thisexperience should be at a managerial level and include responsibility for supervising a multi-tier professional level staff.
