Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Park Administration, or related field. Seven (7) years of responsible experience in the administration of parks/sports programming; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Licenses or Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Certified Park and Recreation Professional preferred.
Special Requirements/Qualifications:
Subject to work beyond the normal scheduled hours of work.
Employee is subject to call back in emergencies.
This position is required to receive climate competency training level 2.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of landscape design as applied to the design and development of parks and grounds.
- Knowledge of effective techniques of parks and grounds management.
- Knowledge of effective techniques of supervision.
- Ability to determine the specific tasks and assignments to be performed, independently handling new, unusual problems and deviations encountered in the work.
- Ability to plan and implement a parks and grounds program including design and development, construction, and maintenance.
- Ability to monitor parks and grounds operations and take appropriate actions to ensure that requirements are met.
- Ability to supervise others in the work.
