They should have strong organizational skills and experience in budgeting, long-range forecasting, and financial management. The Columbia Parks and Recreation Department oversees over 3,500 acres of parkland, maintains 75 parks and over 60 miles of trail, and conducts programs at 12 indoor recreation facilities. The department offers a wide array of sports, recreation activities, lessons and special events for citizens of all ages.
