The Assistant Director of Programs will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising a diverse range of recreation programs, leagues, activities, and special events for Recreation District #14. This individual will be entrusted with the essential tasks of planning, coordinating, programming, and executing various activities and events to ensure engaging experiences for participants. Moreover, the role involves the meticulous preparation of program budgets, efficient supervision of staff and volunteers, and the delivery of exceptional service to all individuals engaged in recreational programs at Coquille Parks and Recreation.

A key aspect of this position will entail serving as a liaison with the Madisonville Youth Booster Board, Directors, and Coaches, fostering strong collaborative relationships to uphold the mission and vision of the organization while delivering top-tier recreational services to youth. The qualified individual will also collaborate with public, non-profit, and private entities to support and enhance recreational offerings for individuals of all ages within and beyond District #14.

The Assistant Director is expected to lead with a strategic vision, ensuring that recreational programs align with the community's needs and interests. Strong communication skills are vital for effective engagement with stakeholders and fostering partnerships to enrich the recreational landscape. About Recreation District #14

Coquille is a growing park with many programs and amenities for the public to use. We currently have four gymnasiums, many fields, a tennis complex with junior and full size courts, two playgrounds, and a walking trail, with a new baseball quad in construction. Recreation District #14 is a free standing governmental agency that is governed by a seven member administrative board. The Recreation District is given their right to exist by the parish but is not part of the parish government, state or town of Madisonville. The Board of Directors meet monthly and oversee total operations of the District. The Board created various committees to oversee the operations of the park. The individual committees meet on an as needed basis. The Recreation District #14 Board of Directors also work with the volunteers of the Madisonville Youth Boosters who advise and help manage through the Recreation District #14 staff sports that are offered at Coquille.
