The City of Ventura is hiring! We have an immediate vacancy for the position of Maintenance Worker I/II with the City’s Public Works Department.   The current vacancy is within the Environmental Sustainability Division (Streets).   The Maintenance Worker I/II works under general supervision and performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled heavy manual work, alone or as a member of a crew, in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, wastewater systems, storm drains, water systems, graffiti abatement or related public works and utility functions. Incumbent may be required to work stand-by on rotational basis and report to work on a callback basis as needed within a designated time frame.
