As part of the Parks and Recreation team, reporting directly to the Recreation Superintendent or Recreation Manager; supervises, plans and administers a variety of recreation programs, events, and trips.

This position is responsible for planning, implementing and supervising an array of recreation programs for adults, older adults and families. Programs include adult enrichment, nature, arts & culture programs and older adult sports programs. This position also manages our travel program which includes planning and leading day trips. The specific distribution of programs is determined in consultation with Department leadership and colleagues. This position is also responsible for the planning and implementation of our annual Cycle UA event and provides support to other city events. Responsibilities also include devising and implementing revenue generation strategies, research of program trends, identification of community needs and provision of high-quality customer service.
The City of Upper Arlington is undergoing construction on the Bob Crane Community Center, a 95,000 sq. foot recreation facility set to open in Spring 2025. This position will provide programming for and support the operation of the Community Center.
