This position requires an innovative and forward-thinking recreation professional who is self-motivated and an exceptional leader to organize and supervise the assigned daily operations of the Recreation Department's Sport and Outdoor Recreation Division. The position provides effective and efficient direct support to the public, participants, user groups, and fellow staff members. This position manages assigned responsibilities in the areas of facility scheduling, program development, event management, customer service, security, and maintenance and takes an active role in accomplishing the vision of the Department. The Coordinator position is part of a dynamic team that actively furthers the mission of the City to present the highest quality of programs and facilities. The selected candidate must have a proven track record of customer service and solution-oriented management.

Bachelor’s Degree: Parks/Recreation Administration, Public Administration, or related field, or 4 years progressive professional experience in the parks and recreation field with demonstration of knowledge in effective public recreation operations.
Minimum of four years of management experience in recreation programming/operations in a similar facility, and
Infant and Child CPR and First Aid Certification or able to obtain within six months of hire.
Any related combination of training, education, and experience in the parks and recreation field, not-for-profit recreation services, resort recreation, military recreation, or student union/campus recreation services'
Valid State of Florida Driver’s License with a good driving record, and
CDL class C with passenger endorsement within 6 months from hire, and
Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.
