JOB SUMMARY Under general direction of the Town Manager, the Director of Parks and Recreation serves as the principal leader and administrator of the Parks and Recreation Department; plans, organizes, oversees and manages the operations of the Department. The purpose of this position is to enhance the Town recreation activities and programs and maintain all Town parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, Aquatics Center, town facilities, right of ways and medians.  The incumbent exercises direct supervision over Parks & Recreation staff.  This is a single-position professional level Director classification that has independent responsibility for the direction, management, and oversight of the department and is responsible to perform highly complex work to manage the da
