City of Sandy Springs  Recreation and Parks Director  FLSA: Exempt Reports to Assistant City Manager  Purpose of Classification: This position manages the Recreation and Parks staff and oversees the management of the parks system and facilities, recreation programs, and select events. Work involves managing the department's daily operations to meet the recreational needs of the community as identified and prioritized in the Recreation and Parks Master Plan, assisting City Management and City Council in the decision-making and policy direction related to recreation and parks issues, and guiding recreation and parks initiatives including major capital projects.  Description
