Director of Parks and Recreation
We are looking for a qualified, spirited candidate to join and provide leadership for our team at Smithville Lake as Director of Parks and Recreation. The Director exercises operational and managerial control of parkland, golf course, historic sites, marina operations, and serves as the United States Army Corp of Engineers liaison, etc. They will also ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of various department programs and staff in the department’s subdivision. A background that includes a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in parks and recreation, public administration, program management or a related field, and five years increasing responsibility in parks and recreation administration. A Master’s Degree is preferred as is a Designation as a Certified
