The Coordinator of Operations and events serves as a game day events manager for various Bucknell and external athletic events. This position works as part of an events and operations team under the direct supervision of the Associate Athletic Director, Operations and Events. The coordinator works closely with various University offices, as well as the coaching staff, student-athletes, outside groups, and spectators.

Job Duties: 1. Serve as event manager responsible for the planning and on-site supervision of select intercollegiate sporting events and outside events hosted in department facilities (i.e, LAHS games, District IV and PIAA events, Patriot League Championships; etc.)
2. Schedule, train and supervise hourly employees, work-study students, academic interns, and volunteer staff working events.
3. Coordinate the set-up and usage of athletics facilities by the University's Summer Camp program. Serve as primary liaison with the campus Event Management Office, facilities, and Public Safety in facilitating institutional and private summer camp offerings.
4. Responsible for the ordering, stocking, and staffing schedule for the department's refueling nutrition station operations.
5. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelor's Degree or equivalent -Previous experience working on an events management team -Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and student-athletes having a range of backgrounds, interests, and perspectives -Possession of a valid US driver's license. -Credentialed, or ability to obtain, certifications in CPR and First Aid -Ability to work required hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support the intercollegiate athletics competition schedule Physical Demands: Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds. Requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work Type: This is a full-time, year round, benefits eligible position.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
Salary Range: This is a Staff Non-exempt position with a hiring range of $18.14 to $22.68 (NE09). The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
