The Role: Campground Host Coordinator As the Campground Host Coordinator, you'll oversee our esteemed Lane County Parks Volunteer Host Program. This pivotal role involves various responsibilities aimed at creating a harmonious and inviting environment for our community members to enjoy. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of life for countless individuals who seek solace and adventure in our parks.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Identifying and bringing onboard passionate caretakers and volunteer hosts who share our dedication to the community.
Training: Ensuring that our caretakers and volunteer hosts are well-equipped through comprehensive training and orientation programs.
Management: Collaboratively supervising caretakers and volunteer hosts, empowering them to excel in their roles.
Program Enhancement: Constantly seeking opportunities to improve the visitor experience, aligning with our division's goals.
Community Engagement: Fostering positive relationships with our caretakers, volunteer hosts, and park employees to enhance park and campground operations.
Diversity and Inclusivity: Actively participating in promoting diversity within the workplace and supporting teamwork and conflict resolution.
Communication: Engaging in effective communication, even in challenging situations, to ensure that caretakers, hosts, and park staff have a voice in shaping our parks' future.

About the Division
Lane County's parks and open spaces are located in the region's most beautiful natural areas and offer opportunities for year-round recreation. There are abundant trails for hiking and biking, ocean beaches and covered bridges to photograph and explore, and lakes and rivers to fish and float. Visitors and residents come to camp, fish, picnic, and play. Lane County Parks hosts over three million visitors per year at 68 recreational sites that total over 4,300 acres. These sites offer reservoir access, river access, marinas, and a variety of camping options.

QUALIFICATIONS
Training:
Bachelor's degree in a field related to area of assignment; and sufficient experience as necessitated by the competency level of the position.
Experience:
Entry/Contributing Level (N4112): 0-2 years of professional experience; entry level for incumbents with Bachelor's degree.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
