POSTION SUMMARY The Assistant Athletics Director for Operations & Facilities supports all game management functions for all varsity home intercollegiate competitions and special events. Additionally, this position oversees and manages the daily operations of Athletics facilities; working with Facilities Management, is responsible for maintenance, gameday event budget oversight, and safety/security.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for all game-day operations including but not limited to, preparation, setup, staffing, officials, security, concessions, and parking for all hosted sporting contests - Liaison for all campus and outsourced event operation services Implement and update facility policies and procedures to include facility access, emergency action plans, standard operating procedures, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance - Coordinate with Facilities Management on all major and minor capital projects Prepare and monitor budgets for gameday event operations - Oversee the payment of officials and external game-day personnel - Coordinate the purchasing, inventory and maintenance of equipment related to the office spaces, mechanical rooms, and game day - Oversee and manage event operations staff to include, full-time, graduate assistants and student workers - Assures coverage of all athletic home events with trained game operations staff - Oversee weekly Event Management meetings for all parties and departments related to game-day involvement - Manage all conference, NCAA championship, and post-season events - Coordinate and monitor university housing needs for all student-athletes - Maintain accurate and updated housing spreadsheet with rooming information for housing department and athletic department - Compile summer overstay and early arrival lists for housing department - Serve as primary point of contact for all Athletics facility reservations - Monitor and report any maintenance needs for Athletics facilities to Facilities - Management Department - Assist with other related duties as assigned - Be knowledgeable and comply with all NCAA, AAC and TU policies and procedures pertaining to operations
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in athletic operations or related field within intercollegiate athletics. Individual must demonstrate administrative and supervisory skills. Ability to conceptualize and prioritize goals and objectives. As working in the field of athletic operations, the position is not limited to the traditional work week, the candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of experience in athletic operations or related field within intercollegiate athletics. Individual must demonstrate administrative and supervisory skills. Ability to conceptualize and prioritize goals and objectives. As working in the field of athletic operations, the position is not limited to the traditional work week, the candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
A Master’s degree and thorough knowledge of NCAA intercollegiate athletics
