This position will assist with the management, administration, and supervision of Marquette University athletic facilities and will include evening and weekend hours. The individual will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks and functions to assist in carrying out the day-to-day activities of the Facility & Event Management unit for all of Marquette University’s athletic programs. This position will have direct responsibility for events and facilities as assigned by the Assistant AD-Facilities & Events which may result in direct decision-making without consultation with the supervisor. Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist with the daily operation of the Al McGuire Center, Human Performance Research Center, Valley Fields, and Marquette Gym. This position will serve as the main contact/manager for the Valley Fields Dome when it is place each year (November – May) 2. Hire/Train/Supervise/Schedule student staffing for Valley Fields (20-30 students scheduled 6:30am-11:30pm 7 days a week) 3. Oversee work orders needed for all athletic facilities to ensure that all surfaces, equipment, and utilities are functioning properly to safely and effectively complete practices, competitions, and special events. Specific duties in this area include: a. Contact and meet any outside vendors that may be needed to finish any work orders that can’t be completed in house b. Serve as the main contact for any regularly used vendors within athletic venues (Daktronics/staff electric/makers of various equipment/performance clean/etc.) 4. Oversee and/or assist with selected Intercollegiate Athletics and campus events to include Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Cross Country, Post-season conference, and NCAA Tournaments Hosted by Marquette University. Direct responsibility for some events while back-up for other events that occur. Assignments will be directed by the Assistant Athletic Director, Facilities and Events. 5. Oversee/Assist with event setups and breakdowns. When this position is in the oversight position, there will be direct responsibility and decision-making that will occur as it relates to set up of competition field/court, equipment set up and maintenance, and logistics around game officials (on/off court, locker room assignments, organization of payment information as needed for BIG EAST/Marquette to pay. In the oversight capacity, there is a great amount of responsibility as proper set up and maintenance of equipment is critical to ensuring that there is no damage to equipment which can be very costly in some instances, safe environment for teams and officials on field/court of competition and safe environment for fans to watch competition. 6. Manage and maintain the practice and game schedule for Valley Fields. This position will schedule all varsity athletic practices and games (Track and Field, M/WSOC, M/WLAX, Golf) and will work with Marquette club and rec department to schedule their needs at Valley Fields (6pm-11:30pm daily). This position will also schedule any approved rentals of Valley Fields. 7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Bachelor’s degree required.
A minimum of 2 years of closely related experience, preferably working in collegiate athletics.

Ability to diffuse, manage and resolve conflict situations quickly and successfully
Master’s degree in Sport Administration/Management or closely related field preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing athletic facility operations and event management in a collegiate environment preferred
