The City of Newport is seeking a reliable and professional individual to fill the position of Instructor. This is a part-time (less than 20 hours a week), non-benefited position. The position will be responsible to organize, plan, and implement the Learn to Swim program. Provide water safety instruction, and/or instruct patrons in an exercise program for youth and adults. Plan, organize, and teach pool patrons swimming, water safety, and water exercise classes. Gather needed equipment, coordinate with staff, and communicate with patrons to ensure the programs meet the needs of the customer. The position requires the ability to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
