The Director of Membership Services is responsible for managing the annual legislative process, serves as the staff liaison to the Management Council and Constitution Committee, administers the Association’s educational efforts through the operation of an online examination program, oversees the Form 3 Online Eligibility System, monitors submittal of required annual Membership compliance forms, and edits, produces and updates the CCCAA Constitution and Bylaws.
Position is open until filled and requires the successful candidate to work in our office, which is in Sacramento, CA. Review of applications to begin January 18, 2022. Expected start date is no later than March 1, 2022.
Position duties - The list below covers the most significant, essential, and auxiliary duties performed by the position but does not include other work, which may be similar, related to, or a logical assignment. Additional tasks will be based on business need and the skill set, knowledge, and experience of the successful candidate.
1.Administers the annual legislative process from receipt of proposals to voting at the Spring Convention.
2.Serves as the staff liaison to the Management Council and the Constitution Committee.
3.Coordinates and manages the Association’s educational efforts through the operation of the Association’s online examination system.
4.Oversees the Form 3 System, the association’s online eligibility system, and monitors compliance of required timely submittal for each institution and sport.
5.Monitors submittal of required annual Membership compliance forms.
6.Edits, produces, and updates the CCCAA Constitution and Bylaws.
7.Attends and assists with numerous annual meetings both in person and virtually. May attend and assist with State Championships.
Relevant Experience – At least three years' experience working in intercollegiate athletics.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities – Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to organize and work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, work/coordinate effectively and collegially with others, excellent computer skills.

The California Community College Athletic Association is an integral part of California's extensive community college system. As authorized by the State Legislature, the Education Code provides the CCCAA the opportunity and authority to establish the rules and regulations to administer the intercollegiate athletic activities of the nearly 24,000 men and women student-athletes in the state representing 110 institutions. The CCCAA sponsors 26 state championships each year.
