The University of Missouri, a member of the SEC, is now accepting applications for the full-time, benefit eligible position of Director of Ticket Sales. This position, reporting to the Associate Athletic Director - Marketing and Revenue Generation, will lead and manage an outbound sales team to maximize ticket revenue through the sale of season tickets, mini-plans, group tickets and single game tickets; develops a comprehensive outbound ticket sales and service strategy to proactively generate new business while also prioritizing retention of existing customers. Maintains a 52-week sales campaign calendar and collaborates with other external units to ensure alignment of sales, development and marketing efforts; manages the hiring, training, management and oversight of outbound ticket sales staff; develops and implements sales training program for new sales staff; conducts outbound phone and email campaigns to provide excellent customer service and to sell ticket packages to new customers; collaborates with Development staff to ensure sales and service staff have strong knowledge of fundraising, seat contributions and related benefits linked to seating assignments. Understand ticket policies and procedures including parking, seat assignment process and donor loyalty point system; collaborates with Ticket Operations and Marketing teams to determine ticket pricing, sales timelines, mailings, email campaigns and other messaging to sell tickets and provide excellent customer service; serve as the athletic department liaison to Salesforce; develop policies and procedures for use of the CRM by ticket sales staff and other external staff; Identify and recommend opportunities to leverage existing data sources to reach targeted customer segments more effectively with sales and marketing campaigns; identify new sales leads and distribute leads among ticket sales staff; research best practices in outbound ticket sales and business intelligence; monitor ticket sales trends on secondary market platforms; prepare and distribute detailed revenue reports and sales activity reports; collaborate with other external units to set annual ticket revenue goals and objectives; maintain proper internal controls in regard to cash handling, PCI compliance and other athletic department and university established policies; ensures all ticketing procedures and policies are followed in accordance with NCAA and SEC guidelines; performs other job related duties as assigned. A Bachelor's degree in a related/relevant field of study and at least three years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. PREFERRED qualifications to include experience conducting outbound phone and email campaigns to sell ticket packages in collegiate or professional sports; experience working with Ticketmaster and Salesforce CRM and outstanding communication skills with the ability to manage and lead a sales team to achieve revenue goals.
