The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and customer service oriented individual for the position of Aquatic Lead. The position is responsible for the effective delivery of facilities, programs and services that contribute to the Recreation Department and Town of Breckenridge mission and vision. Leads are involved with the hands-on operation and day to day assignment of duties for a functional area within the Department including personnel leadership, guest service, facility and equipment operations and maintenance, revenue and cost control, delivery of programs and services, safety, and risk management. This is a position of significant customer service impact.
Individuals in this position are responsible for assisting the Aquatics Coordinator in the leadership of the lifeguard staff and overseeing the safety of guests in and around the aquatics area. The Aquatic Lead performs and leads staff in daily preventative maintenance tasks and lifeguard surveillance. The Aquatic Lead responsibilities include water balancing, chemical handling, routine pump room maintenance, and safety checks on equipment and play features. Other responsibilities include leading in-service trainings, scheduling staff, assisting in aquatic program development and implementation, and opening and closing the pool area.
