The City of Palm Beach Gardens is looking for a motivated and innovative professional who has the ability to positively lead the Aquatics Division of the Recreation Department. This position is expected to creatively and independently manage the service delivery of the aquatics operation for the City and surrounding community.
The position requires innovation and the ability to keep pace with industry standards and changing trends. The Manager will be expected to have an entrepreneurial spirit in program development and service delivery while ensuring that the staff are trained to the highest level. Responsibilities include managing comprehensive operations of three pools (same site), organizational development, event management, fiscal control, strategic marketing, revenue production, programming, staff utilization, long range planning and the safe operation/coordination of facilities.

Master's degree preferred, or
Bachelor's Degree: Parks/Recreation Administration, Public Administration, Sports Management or related field, or any related combination of experience and education, and
Five years progressive management and/or supervisory experience in the aquatic's operations field, and
Current Certifications in the following required:
Lifeguard Training through the American Red Cross
CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED American Red Cross
First Aid American Red Cross
Water Safety Instructor
Administering Emergency O2 Red Cross
Preferred Certifications or ability to obtain within one year: Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor Trainer
First responder training and/or EMT training preferred
FEMA training in Emergency Management.
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record from current resident state and the ability to acquire a State of Florida one.
Certified Park and Recreation Professional (C.P.R.P.) National Certification preferred
Additional Salary Information: Holidays: Eleven (11) days per calendar year.One (1) Floating Holiday per calendar year.
Personal Leave: Sixteen (16) hours accrued monthly used for vacation, illness, or personal time away from work.
