Greenville County Parks, Recreation & Tourism is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and experienced individual to join our team at the Pavilion Recreation Complex. This individual will assist in managing a dynamic recreation facility that includes: state-of-the-art ice rink, multi-use sport in-line rink and competitive tennis court complex.
Duties (included but not limited to): • Plans, implements and supervises programs and event for participants of all ages and abilities, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, County and GCPRT policies and procedures, and standards of safety. • Recruits, trains and supervises assigned part-time staff; offers advice, leadership and assistance as needed to efficiently and safely operate revenue facility. • Assists in evaluating programs and facilities for effectiveness and profitability; implements changes as appropriate to improve programs and services and increase revenue. • Orders and maintains inventory of necessary equipment, materials and supplies. • Participates in marketing, sponsorship and public relations efforts to increase participation and awareness of revenue facility programs and activities. • Receives, receipts and accounts for various fee payments; prepares related records and reports. • Inspects facilities for security and safety, and takes appropriate steps to ensure the safety of all staff and citizens and the protection of GCPRT property. • Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance regarding areas of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree (or education/training/experience equivalent to four years) in recreation administration or a closely related field • Four years relevant experience • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills (Microsoft Office) • Valid state driver’s license • Ability to effectively lead and manage individuals and programs.
