This position’s primary function is to plan, develop, promote, supervise, and evaluate comprehensive recreation programs and events for the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department. In addition, the Recreation Superintendent will assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Director, including but not limited to: provide management oversight of the department’s facilities including the Ice Rink, Surf ‘n Slide Water Park, Larson Playfield, Paul Lauzier Athletic Complex, Kvamme Soccer Fields, and the Larson Recreation Center; assist in planning, preparing, presenting, and administering the annual operating budget for the Recreation Division; supervise, train, direct, and evaluate division personnel; and attend staff, community, and Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meetings and effectively communicate the current programs, events, and needs of the Recreation Division. Oversee and provide direction for the Larson Recreation Center policies and procedures, schedules, and budget.
