The Athletic Coordinator works under the direction of the Recreation Director and serves as the Association's organizer and supervisor for specific youth and adult athletic and recreation programs.
Planning and implementation of youth and adult athletic programs and leagues:
Assist with monitoring the registration database to ensure participants are registered correctly.
Assist with ordering uniforms and equipment.
Assist with the recruitment of volunteer coaches
Assist with the draft process
Act as lead supervisor/rec liaison at the field or gym during games and programs.
Develop and plan the RecMan Esports Team’s season and practice schedule.
Knowledge of Esports with an emphasis on competitive leagues and titles.
Maintain the ESPORTS area, supplies and equipment.
Coordinate Esport program opportunities to include tournaments, special projects, and other related events.
Have a complete and functional understanding of all titles offered in the Esports program.
Communicates with parents and participants of programs before, during, and after each program ends including welcome e-mails, program updates, and satisfaction surveys.
Be present on the first day of each program to greet parents/participants and ensure the program runs smoothly.
Keep a record of revenues and expenses for each program and work with the Office Manager to ensure all appropriate expenses including payments to the instructors are paid promptly.
Recruit referees and/or instructors and coaches for each program
Complete all accident and incident report forms and return them to the Recreation Director and administration office immediately after completion.
Maintain an inventory program supplies and equipment.
Maintain supply / first aid kits for the athletic department to be present at every game or practice including smaller kits to be given to each coach.
Ensure rink/fields are ready for each practice or game
Develop and maintain contractual agreements with instructors for assigned recreation and athletic programs and camps
Work with the Association’s Office Manager to collect all appropriate paperwork from instructors including w-9’s and insurance
Work with the Association’s Marketing Director to promote assigned programs
Work with the Association’s administration staff to ensure the programs are entered into the registration software correctly
Keep supervisors and staff up to date on all relevant issues and situations.
Accept additional duties as assigned by the Recreation Director
Certifications / Requirements:
American Red Cross (or equivalent) CPR / First Aid
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management or equivalent
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Strong Leadership and Interpersonal skills
