Located in the dynamic Fox Cities region in northeastern Wisconsin, Little Chute (Pop. 11, 947) is committed to a vibrant Park and Recreation system. On the heels of a $3.6M boardwalk spanning the Fox River, Little Chute has plans for new aquatic amenities, significant additions to the regional trail system, and potential plans for additional parkland. This is an executive position responsible for the direction and coordination of all activities of the Village parks, recreation, forestry, community band, and senior citizen programs.
Work involves planning, coordinating, and supervising the operation of the park systems as well as recreational programming, including aquatics. Manages a team of three full-time professionals and 50 +/- full and part-time, seasonal/casual employees. Responsible for an annual budget of almost $1M plus a robust capital improvements program.
With input and guidance, the Director is expected to lead the Village in critical park and recreation strategic planning and implementation of such plans. They will be responsible for forging effective working relationships with the Board of Trustees, the staff, community groups and residents.

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Recreation/Parks or a related field required, Master’s degree a plus. 3-5 years of increasingly responsible management and operations experience within a municipal leisure services agency desired. Certification as a Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) a plus and Aquatic Facility Operator required (within one year of employment).
