| GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Cornerstone Athletic Supervisor primary responsibility is to execute day-to-day planning of competitive youth softball baseball events; oversee the coordination of bookings, contracts, diagramming and staffing of events, coordinate all related tasks from bookings through billings. Control and develop the annual budget, calendar of events and operational staffing requirements. Communicates with Management on the status of work orders and custodial services. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Plan to promote, organize and execute a competitive sports program that utilizes the Cornerstone Complex.
- Allocate proper resources for all events. Ensure the proper execution of all aspects of events per customer requirements through proper event monitoring and supervision of processes.
- Complete contracts and reservations. Meet with customers to determine customer needs.
- Supervise and develop employees. Schedule employees to work events and set-up events. Inspect the work of subordinates and provide training to staff.
- Review and approve final billing prior to release of invoices.
- Responsible for overseeing all purchases and expenditures for the activities provided
- Coordinating sales campaigns, revenue generating events and achieving bookings goals for the Complex. This may also be required to coordinate with the Marketing division of the Marketing & Communications Department and/or other City departments.
- Negotiates contract terms with prospective clients.
- Promote, organize and maintain an inclusive work environment
- Create annual calendars, communication plans and marketing strategies for the department.
- Analyzes community needs, develops action plans to meet the City priorities while using staff, outside agencies and organizations to define and resolve service issues.
- Develops, implements and effectively administers and manages operational budgets to include financial report, revenue generation, operational, cost and cost recovery requirements.
- Manage all purchases within the department that include: Performing cost analysis, obtaining quotes, evaluating expenses, developing budgets, establishing capital projects and submitting agenda items for board approval.
- Adhere to and assist in formulation, updating and enforcement of policies, guidelines, evaluations, goals, and objectives for the department.
- Manage employee schedules, time and attendance and process time sheets within the department
- Recruit, supervise, train, evaluate and lead staff within the department or as needed
- Actively participate in community organizations to foster a positive city image while maintaining a level of customer service standards by investigating and resolving customer complaints.
- Identify maintenance concerns, submit work orders, and report monthly on specific maintenance needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
