The successful candidate will have a degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, recreation management/administration, business administration, engineering, or a comparable field, advanced degree preferred, and 10 years of senior level management experience, with at least five years as an executive or department head of a comparably complex organization engaged in the delivery of public parks and recreation services or similar services related to providing infrastructure and community programs. An equivalent combination of education and management experience will be considered. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation as granted by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is a plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate visionary leadership, a passion for building community and quality of life, and successful experience delivering multi-year capital improvement projects and in cultivating effective working relationships with the Board and staff at all levels of an organization.   

The starting salary for this position will be based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
