We are looking for a fun, kind, passionate-about-kids, co-leader of school age childcare at our bustling recreation department. The School Age Childcare Director of Administration will work with the School Age Childcare Director of Staff & Programs to jointly oversee our four afterschool licensed childcare sites, three summer day camps, and vacation camps. As the administrative director, this position oversees budgeting, registrations, licensing, and accreditation of our programs. This position is responsible for the billing and collection of over $1M in annual fees. Attention to detail, being resourceful, and being extremely organized are vital. A successful candidate will have a firm understanding of VT licensed childcare regulations, STARS accreditation, and subsidy management. Beyond the office duties, you will visit sites, interact with kids, families, and staff, assist site coordinators in problem solving, and be familiar with school personnel. You should have an extensive background with planning, organizing, and leading youth programs. Must not only have an excellent understanding of child behavior management and use of positive discipline techniques, but experience and/or comfort in teaching these principles to others. Prior experience in supervision, personnel management, program planning, and training is required. Familiarity with RecTrac is a plus.
