Master's degree and one year of professional planning experience to include park or recreation open space planning; or Bachelor's degree and two years of professional planning experience to include park or recreation open space planning are required. Must possess a Driver license.
The PROS Planner 2 is responsible for the development and revision of existing general plans for park improvements and management plans. The work entails conducting research on comparable facilities; providing recommendations for park and recreation planning issues; producing maps of parks; geospatial analysis for public meetings regarding parks and recreations facilities; assessing public need through stakeholder workshops, public meetings and surveys; and representing the Department at public meetings, Governmental Facilities Committee, Plat Committee, Zoning Appeal Board hearings for issues pertaining to open space master plan implementation projects.
