United Pool Management is looking for candidates for an Aquatics Director that loves to work as a team and has a passion for aquatics!
The Aquatics Director is responsible for the overall duties of the operations for the aquatics center through planning, coordination, scheduling, and evaluation of a variety of programs specific to the aquatics area within the aquatics center.
Duties and Responsibilities -
Supervises the day - to - day operations and activities of team members.
Oversees and coordinates the scheduling of team members and contact management.
Oversees the maintenance of pools, which includes but is not limited to chemistry, cleanliness, and related maintenance.
Ensures that all appropriate water, environment, health and safety standards are maintained. Ensures that all pools are compliant with all local, state, and national requirements.
All necessary certifications are updated to date.
Ensures financial sales targets are met.
Participates in and teaches aquatic and safety certification training as necessary.
Maintains records of operational facility usage and inventory of pool equipment and supplies.
Represents the organization at various community and/or business meetings, and committee meetings.
Preforms miscellaneous job - related duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgements.
Working knowledge of personal computer and related software applications.
Ability to supervise and train team members.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
Knowledge of optimal swimming pool chemistry.
Ability to train and certify lifeguards and swim instructors.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of operation a large multi - pool aquatic facility.
Working Conditions -
Moderate physical activity.
Requires lifting up to 50-100 pounds.
Walking or standing for more than 4 hours in a day.
Working weekends and certain holidays.
Ability to travel locally to attend meetings and trainings.
Aggressive base plus commission pay structure
Retirement Plans available
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the aquatic industry.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage staff.
Proficiency in computer skills.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
If you do not have current certifications, they will need to be obtained prior to starting the position. Company will assist in obtaining the certifications.
