The City of Moscow is seeking an energetic team player to work under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Director to develop, plan, organize and direct comprehensive programs in non-sport youth programs, year round programs, special events and seasonal aquatics.
The successful candidate will work well under pressure; work with various organizations and the public; be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the aquatics center and youth center; develop marketing strategies; and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Beginning annual salary is $56,571. The City offers a benefits package that includes paid health, dental, vision and life insurance. Additional benefits include an HRA VEBA, Flexible Spending Account, supplemental life and voluntary plans. The City provides paid sick and vacation leave; eleven paid holidays per year and inclusion in the Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). The City of Moscow is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation or a related field and have a minimum of three years full-time experience in parks and recreation with emphasis working with youth programming and aquatics.
Additional requirements include: a valid drivers license and CPR/First Aid Certification. Within one year of hire, the successful candidate will be required to obtain:
A CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or AFO (Aquatics Facility Operator)
A CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional)
WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certification
Current Lifeguard certification
Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) certification is desired.
