This position is being reposted as a result of an updated schedule and timeline to obtain required certifications.
This position will be scheduled Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 8 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
The following certifications are required to be obtained within one (1) year of the start date: Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Training, or state-recognized equivalent certifications.
The Assistant Center Supervisor provides leadership assistance to the Center Supervisor, by assuming responsibility for the management of operating key program operations and initiatives. The Assistant Center Supervisor is responsible for supervising aquatic services and for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the facility. These tasks include the development, coordination, and supervision of all personnel and all programs and special activities that are related to the effective programming and operation of the assigned center. These positions receive supervision from the center supervisor and exercises all functional and technical supervision over assigned employees.
Successful applicants will possess at least five years of experience in park and recreation leadership and management as well as the equivalent to a four-year degree from an accredited college with major coursework in: park and recreation management, leisure services, or a related field.

Oversee and direct the work activities of assigned part-time personnel, including: staffing, scheduling, and training.

Exhibit leadership to staff, working teams, and fellow employees.
