CITY OF GREENVILLE invites applications for the position of: Recreation & Parks Outreach Coordinator

The purpose of this position is to provide direct and on-going support to the Recreation and Parks Department's Community Services initiatives, oversee and manage the department's administrative functions, and support the Director and Assistant Director of Recreation and Parks in achieving their initiatives.
This is accomplished by assisting in the establishment and support of the Greenville Recreation and Parks Foundation, as well as the Private Leisure Assistance for Youngsters ("P.L.A.Y.") program within the auspices of the Foundation; supervising the Manager of the Centers and Programs Section; supervising the clerical staff and establishing customer reception standards; assisting in the on-boarding process for all hired employees through reviewing and approving hiring documentation; assisting with the development of the department's operational and capital budgets, directly developing and managing the department's administrative budget; accessing and reviewing monthly expenditure and revenue reports to identify any areas of concern and sharing with the appropriate staff; managing the creation of any departmental mission-related non-profits, acting as the department liaison to and monitoring the operation of same; soliciting and securing grants, bequests, land donations, volunteer assistance, and other outside support; overseeing departments process for facility rentals and related services; establishing the department's administrative policies and procedures; and overseeing the development and submission of monthly reports to the Recreation and Parks Commission and City Council, Notes to Council, and the department's Council and Commission agenda items.

FLSA Status: Exempt
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in recreation administration or other closely related field; and • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in recreation programming, preferably in a municipal setting, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
Additional Salary Information: Full Salary Range: $66,310.40 - $99,424.00
