Under the direction of the Open Space Operations Manager, this position assists with the management and the direction of the Open Space Operations staff. He or she will be responsible for the in-field implementation of the annual maintenance and operations program on Columbia Association’s open space. They will be supervising and coordinating the activities of multiple crews and crew members, as well as contractors who are engaged in maintenance of grounds and a wide variety of park-like amenities.
Some of the qualifications and skills are organizing multiple tasks, having the ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints, and having at least five years of professional landscaping experience. Basic park management/operations, event management, playground safety, horticulture, carpentry and landscaping knowledge required. Certified Playground Inspector and Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.
