About the Department The City of Napa Parks and Recreation Services Department provides a variety of services for our community and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a wide array of parks and recreation areas within 890 acres; including 55 parks, 26 miles of trails, an urban forest consisting of 30,000 trees, and several public facilities. The Department consists of three divisions; Parks & Facilities, Recreation, and Administration, which employs 43 full-time staff and 200 seasonal, part-time staff and volunteers.
