Work Schedule: May work up to 40 hours a week with morning and/or night shifts required as assigned by Aquatics Specialist or Coordinator. Shifts may range from M-F, 8am-11am and/or M-Th, 5:30-7pm
As a member of the Aquatics team, incumbents in this position are responsible for instructing, supervising and testing children and adults in Windsor’s learn-to-swim lesson programs. This position also helps organize and control classes under the direction of Lead Guard, Managers, Aquatics Specialists, Coordinators, and/or Supervisor.
Pay range: $12.08 to $12.44 per hour
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Previous experience in life guarding and/or teaching swim lessons preferred, but not required.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to complete the Town of Windsor’s Swim Lesson Training class and one complete session of co-teaching with a current instructor.
Current Water Safety Instructor (American Red Cross) certification may be used as a supplement certification. Each WSI will be asked to complete the Town of Windsor’s Swim Lesson training and complete one session of co-teaching.
