Energetic and cohesive recreation department is looking for an aquatic and youth program supervisor to join our team. This important position oversees all aspects of Otter Cove Aquatic Park seasonal operations as part of a collaborative aquatic facility management team. Otter Cove Aquatic Park is a facility serving over 5,000 season pass holders and thousands more daily guests. By paying close attention to safety details, providing continued maintenance and new amenities and being consistent in great service delivery, Otter Cove continues to be a favorite daytime destination in the Fox Valley.
Responsibilities include: Otter Cove daily operations, staff management, concessions management, capital purchasing, maintenance and janitorial oversight, special aquatic programs and events youth recreational programming, and Friday Live!. The top candidate will confidently oversee nearly 200 seasonal employees and be attentive to maintaining facility and programming budget goals. Individual will report to Assistant Superintendent II and work cooperatively with the Swanson Pool Aquatic Supervisor and Assistant Superintendent I.

Flexible work schedule that varies per season, with increased hours during the summer and 15-20 Friday nights per year.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Education or related field. Ellis Instructor Certified and Food Sanitation Manager preferred. A minimum of 2 years-experience effectively managing an aquatic facility or working in recreation management, including leading recreation programs and events and supervising staff. Position demands a quick thinker with consistent customer service delivery and a work record that shows reliability, initiative and productivity. Excellent communication skills and attention to safety required.
