Widefield School District 3 Parks and Recreation is seeking a full-time Aquatic Associate to help run a year round aquatics department. We have a six lane pool with diving tank, along with two outdoor pools and splash park. We are seeking an energetic, organized and community minded individual with strong public relationship skills. Our Aquatic team consists of 25-30 part-time seasonal employees and 2 full-time employees. The Aquatic Associate will be responsible for safety, swim lessons, swim team, staff scheduling and pool chemical balance.
Widefield services over 50,000 residents and is the largest unincorporated area in the state of Colorado. We are also the only Parks and Recreation Department in the state that is owned and operated by a school district (Widefield School District 3). Our community is growing and we are planning expanding our program offerings.

Experience: 2-3 years aquatic management
Experience in lifeguarding and aquatic instruction
Experience in swimming pool maintenance preferred
Experience in swim team/coaching preferred
Certificates/Licenses: Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate
Water Safety Instructor preferred
Certified Pool Operator or AFO preferred
USA Swim Certified preferred

Widefield School District 3 Parks and Recreation is the only parks and recreation department in the state of Colorado that is owned and operated by a school district. Widefield is a suburb of Colorado Springs and has over 50,000 residents. It is the largest unincorporated area in the state. The parks and recreation department services southern Colorado Springs with a community center, parks, ball fields and playgrounds. The community center has a swimming pool, fitness room, preschool, library, all purpose room, and office space. The schools' gymnasiums are used for youth and adult sports, along with other program activities. The Parks and Recreation Department has 20 full time employees and 140 part time employees.
