The Recreation Program Specialist is responsible for the management of a Community Center and supervision of seasonal staff while also assisting in the implementation, coordination, and supervision of a comprehensive citywide recreation and special events program. The ideal candidate will share our passion and vision in helping create the best parks and recreation opportunities in the country. We are looking for someone who can provide extraordinary customer experience, bring the community together, create experiences worth repeating and strives for excellence.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in recreation, physical education, or related field; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the field is preferred.
Preferred Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid.
Must be willing and will be required to work a non-standard and varied schedule including weekends and evening hours on a regular basis.
Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.
