The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a full-time Recreation Supervisor in the Parks & Recreation Department. Position is responsible to plan, organize and coordinate a comprehensive community recreation program for youth and adults, including athletic and seasonal activities, sports, arts, gymnastics, social and other special interest and general programming. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, or related field and two years of experience with demonstrated skill organizing and implementing leisure activities; or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess organizational and planning skills and have knowledge of a variety of recreation programs and events, including a strong background in competitive and recreational sports. The right candidate must be able to: communicate effectively; develop, implement and evaluate leisure programs; stimulate action to provide well attended, successful recreation programs; work effectively with youth and other community groups; hire, train, evaluate, and supervise employees and volunteers.
