The primary duties include recruiting, training, directing and coordinating activities and scheduling swimming instructors, water fitness instructors and lifeguards. Plans and promotes aquatics programs; insures staff provides members/guests with consistent and quality service. Completes staff performance evaluations, participates in the department budget and various other duties as assigned.
Graduation from a four-year college with a degree in recreation or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must be certified through the American Red Cross in CPR and First Aid. Must be Red Cross certified in Water Safety Instructor and Life Guarding within the first year of employment or by the next available test date if not offered within the first year. Valid Driver’s license required.
