SPRD seeks an Executive Director to lead our District in beautiful Sisters Country. The preferred candidate will have proven leadership experience and a passion for park and recreation services.
The director will lead a staff of 10+ employees and work collaboratively with several SPRD committees while managing the operations of the District in accordance with direction from the 5-member board of directors.
The Executive Director will be paid an annual salary of $60,000-$80,000 (DOQ) plus benefits.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience. Managerial experience is crucial, preferably with a background in public sector management. Essential skills include excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, financial management acumen, grant management and fundraising experience, a passion for parks and recreation services, and a collaborative leadership style.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in management, business, park and recreation, and/or related field is required; a masters of public or business administration is preferred.
