As a member of the Aquatics team, incumbents in this position are responsible for assisting with the instruction, supervision and testing of children and adults in Windsor’s learn-to-swim lesson programs. This position also helps organize and control classes under the direction of Lead Guard, Managers, Aquatics Specialists, Coordinators, and/or Supervisor.
Seasonal lesson instructor aides may work at both the indoor or outdoor pool. The outdoor pool may be open from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
This temporary employment may be scheduled through the year on a full-time basis depending on the needs of the town, but will not exceed six months in length (or 1,040 hours, whichever comes first). This is strictly temporary (“at will”) employment which may be terminated at any time and does not lead to regular full-time employment.

Must be at least 15 years of age
Previous experience in lifeguarding and/or teaching swim lessons preferred, but not required.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire
May be asked to complete the Town of Windsor’s Swim Lesson Training class, if requirements for the training class are met
