The Springfield-Greene County Park Board is seeking a dedicated individual to manage the department's Family Centers, Aquatics and Health and Wellness sections. This Administrator will supervise and direct teams in carrying out programs, activities and various facility operations. This position will prepare, evaluate and monitor the assigned section's budget. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership skills. Experience developing and supervising community center programs is required. We are looking for a candidate that possesses a creative and progressive approach to program administration; and has the ability to analyze and evaluate programs and events, and make recommendations accordingly. The Park Board has three family centers with various classes, each with a gymnasium, walking track, fitness center, weights, game room and childcare. Two of the family centers host an indoor pool. Additionally, there are 6 outdoor pools across the Parks system. This is a great opportunity for a someone to make a difference by overseeing and planning programs and facility operations of key areas in our incredible Parks department.

Experience, Education, and Training
Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Business Management, Facility Management, Event Management, International Affairs, Environmental or Conservation areas or a closely related area;
Four years of experience in developing and supervising recreational community center programs, environmental/conservation education, tennis centers, agricultural development, school-park programs, safety and risk management programs, international affairs/cultural programs, or sports programs depending upon assignment;
Directly related experience in developing and supervising related program areas may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) is desirable;
If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator's license;
