The Director of Operations prepares, schedules and coordinates the athletic venues for all home athletic events facilities and operations. Supervises multimedia and broadcasting efforts for majority of sports, negotiates on behalf of the College, and overseas operations budget. 1. Prepares athletic venues for events (Patriots Point/TD Arena). Communicates and coordinates with game officials, Aramark, Public Safety, ushers, Physical Plant, ticketing, communications, development, marketing and multimedia. . Manages actual execution, including problem-solving of issues that occur during events. Solicits, negotiates and manages rental fees for TD Arena ( Hospitality area and floor) and Patriots Point. 2. Manages the Facilities and Operations budget. Collaborates with Physical Plant, Parking, Concessions, Public Safety and other campus groups to outline, address and ensure coverage of the event by an appropriate EMS Staff to manage overall event safety and control. 3. Serves as lead project manager on any facility upgrades to include signage, banners, logo placement, Hall of Fame room, and scoreboards. Works extensively with Procurement department on facility improvements, acquisitions, and RFP processes for Athletics. 4. Coordinates and maintains department calendar of events. Prioritizes and schedules athletic facilities for all home events, rentals, athletic camps, team practices and other uses. Essential or Marginal 5. Acts as liaison to campus for large-scale events, including winter and spring commencement. 6. Hires, trains and supervises game day staff for all home athletic events. 7. Interacts with donors, alumni, students, faculty, staff and administration and the general public to achieve customer satisfaction. 8. Serves as technology coordinator for the athletics department, including researching and ordering computers and working with the Information Technology department to ensure the proper technology for the department. 9. Manages tournaments for on-campus NCAA and conference events, including the Charleston Classic and NIT games. 10. Oversees all Athletics general equipment and laundry assignments. 11. Oversees the day-to-day security of all Athletics facilities to include monitoring keys, security cameras, and card swipe access at facility entrances.
