George School, a 9-12 Friends co-ed boarding and day school in Newtown, Bucks County, PA, is seeking a Senior Athletic Director to lead the school’s athletics, physical education and recreation programs.
The Senior AD will be responsible for the school’s 100,000 sf Fitness and Athletic Center (opened in 2014), overseeing its supervision and establishing policies and procedures governing its use. Leading a department of several full-time employees and numerous part-time teachers and coaches, the Senior AD will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, supervision, and advocacy for all of the programs that fall under the auspices of the Athletics and Physical Education Department. The Senior AD will work with both his/her own department and other school constituencies to articulate a strategic vision for George School athletics and physical education that is in harmony with George School’s educational mission.
A Bachelors’ Degree and at least seven years of successful department-level leadership, supervision, and experience in a variety of athletic roles are required. Competitive salary and generous benefits include tuition remission and the potential for on-campus housing.
