Performs professional, supervisory, and administrative work in the planning, development, supervision, management, and evaluation of facility reservations, special events, concessions, and assisting with sports programs to meet the needs of the participants in the community. Ensures participants have the opportunity to learn new skills and participate in programs while having fun in a safe and non-threatening environment. Recommends and implements new programs and sets appropriate fees. Responsible for the administration, planning, and supervision of all special events relating to educational and recreational events and activities including assisting with sports, at all Parks & Playground division locations. Responsible for advertising, promoting, scheduling, site viewing and contracts for all facility reservations for St. Andrew's Parks and Playground, excluding St. Andrew's Family Fitness Plus. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when needed. Position reports directly to the Recreation Superintendent.
A bachelor's degree in recreation or a related field
Two years of recreation programming experience is desired.
Two years of supervisory experience is required.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to produce needed knowledge and skills may be acceptable.
Certifications and Licensing
CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) certification is desired
CPR and First Aid certification is required.
A valid driver's license is required.
