The University of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of UCLA Performance Volunteer Nutrition Intern.
Internship Dates: January 7, 2019 – June 14, 2019 (required training: 12/5/18 – 12/7/18)
Duties include assisting the full?time Performance Dietitians in all aspects of the UCLA Performance Nutrition program. This includes, but is not limited to oversight of the Acosta Fueling Station and the Acosta Recovery Station, body composition (Bodpod and BodyMetrix) assessments, hydration testing, cooking demonstrations, nutrition education sessions, department education, inventory and receiving/storage of deliveries.
This position is for a Volunteer Sports Nutrition Intern and no compensation will be provided including parking/transportation expenses. Screening of applications will continue until position(s) are filled.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field with a strong desire to pursue a career as a Sports Dietitian. A minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week is required. In addition, the Nutrition Intern will be assigned supplemental weekly sports nutrition journals, projects and educational materials. Upon selection, UCLA Athletics will issue and require completion of Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) Mandatory Reporter training.
