The purpose of this position is to supervise and oversee high-quality athletic programming and facility operations for the Recreation Division. This is accomplished by developing, planning, promoting, implementing and supervising all aspects of athletic programs which include interacting with citizens, volunteers, City officials, employees and the general public, and supervising assigned recreation staff. Other duties will include performing administrative and technical tasks, developing long-range program goals, managing expenditures, and providing support to the Recreation Division.

Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Over two years up to five years of relevant experience required
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Texas Driver's License.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, American Red Cross CPR Certification.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, American Red Cross First Aid and AED Certification.
Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) Preferred.
Early morning, evening, weekend and holiday work required
