Primary responsibilities include serving as athletics facilities manager, including securing on-campus and off-campus athletics facilities for intercollegiate practices, home contests and events; oversight of housekeeping and maintenance needs at Events and Athletics Center (EAC) and Plumeri Sports Complex (PSC); and serving as game day manager, including coordination of home game staff and game day promotions and events. Assistant AD shall also serve on the institution's athletics management team.
Serve as athletics facilities manager for on-campus and off-campus venues:
Secure and schedule athletic facilities for intercollegiate practices and home contests in coordination with head coaches, athletic training and sports information; assist with scheduling of rentals/outside groups
Oversee scheduling of home & away contests for all sports (NE10 and non-conference)
Coordinate facility scheduling @ PSC, EAC for all varsity P & G, College groups, and outside group use
Provide daily updates of PSC & EAC facility use on online master calendar & EZ Facility Calendar
Manage facility maintenance and housekeeping reports for EAC and PSC
Manage game day facility setups/takedowns @ PSC & EAC
Secure and manage access to external athletic facilities for team practices/contests as needed
Secure access to athletic facilities for intramural/rec programs as requested
Coordinate Saint Rose campus vehicles with head coaches for team practice and game day transportation
Serve as game day manager for home contests:
Manage home game administration for varsity home contests, including contact with visiting teams regarding
directions, special needs, distributing game-day itineraries, greeting officials
Direct, train and schedule home game staff (ie. linesmen) utilizing approved hiring methods, process timesheets
Direct, train and schedule assigned administrators who shall assist with home game management
Confirm & communicate home game officials assignments to head coaches, process timesheets
Assist with the coordination of game day special events, including Senior Days, alumni games, contests
Oversee game day environment, including music, community engagement and promotions
Assist with promotional and marketing efforts within the athletics dept, serve on marketing committee
Assist with various athletic department projects as assigned, including new employee searches
Actively participate in all management team and full staff meetings and department-wide events
Minimum of two years' work experience in athletics operations, athletics facilities maintenance and/or logistics
Working knowledge of sports operations for the Saint Rose-sponsored teams is preferred
Strong organizational, written/oral and interpersonal communication skill
Ability to establish and main effective working relationships with multiple constituencies
Ability to work during daytime, evenings and weekends, consistent with the schedule of athletics events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to provide on-site services for on and off-campus home game management and intramural/rec programming. Must be able to carry objects/move objects up to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time position. The work schedule includes daytime, evenings and weekends, consistent with the schedule of athletics events.The anticipated start date is November 10, 2018.
